Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online"

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2nd International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online”, which will take place at the Kyriad Prestige Hotel in Warsaw, on 18-19 September 2008.  

The conference is organised by the Polish and German Internet safety nodes, which work together within the framework of the European Commission Safer Internet Plus Programme. 

The main partner of the event is the TP Group Foundation. The conference is held under the patronage of Viviane Reding, Member of the European Commission, responsible of Information Society and Media. 

The Warsaw conference will bring together representatives from the education sector, NGOs, law enforcement, government and industry. It will address a wide variety of issues relating to children and young people’s safety online, such as cyberbullying, social networking sites, child safety and mobile phones, and online gaming. The aims of the conference are to raise awareness of the new challenges and opportunities in fighting Internet threats and to help share best practices across different sectors. Sessions will be led by recognised international experts in the field of child protection.

The languages of the conference will be English and Polish. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
