Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online

The conference is organised by the Polish and UK Internet safety nodes: the Nobody’s Children Foundation, the Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK) and the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP). These nodes work within the framework of the European Commission Safer Internet Plus Programme. The main partner of the event is the TP Group Foundation.

The conference will be held under the patronage of Viviane Reding, Member of the European Commission, responsible for Information Society and Media.

The Warsaw conference will bring together representatives from the education sector, NGOs, law enforcement, government and industry. It will address a wide variety of issues relating to children and young people’s safety online, such as identifying computer crimes against the youngest Internet users, grooming, cyberbullying, child safety and mobile phones, online gaming and Internet addiction. The aims of the conference are to raise awareness of the new challenges and opportunities in fighting Internet threats and to help share best practices across different sectors. Sessions will be led by recognised international experts in the field of child protection.
